SMS Terms
Last updated: September 28, 2026
DispatchLine offers optional operational text messages for business owners and, separately, appointment confirmations and follow-ups for callers. Each program requires the appropriate sender approval and the recipient’s consent before sending. Saving a preference does not mean SMS delivery is active or tested.
Business-owner alerts
Verified business owners can open Team & alerts, enter their own US mobile number, and explicitly opt in to automated DispatchLine alerts about bookings, service requests and urgent calls for their business. The consent checkbox is not preselected. Adding an on-call or team phone number by itself does not enroll anyone. SMS is optional and is not a condition of purchase; email alerts are controlled separately.
Owner alerts summarize the call or booking and link to the authenticated portal for full details. Message frequency varies with call activity. A message may use more than one SMS segment. Messages are sent only after the owner SMS program is enabled; the portal shows when sender approval is pending. We do not send a backlog of old call alerts when SMS is enabled. A service request is not a confirmed appointment unless a booking was actually saved.
Caller confirmations and follow-ups
Where caller texting is enabled for the business, its phone assistant asks: “Is it okay if I text the appointment confirmation to this number? You can reply STOP any time to stop the texts.” Caller texts require an explicit yes and are sent only to the number supplied for that interaction. An owner’s alert preference is not consent to text their customers. Where call recording is enabled, the recording may also contain the spoken consent. We do not send marketing messages.
Sender identity
The current shared DispatchLine messaging number is +1 (844) 786-1221. Messages identify DispatchLine or the business involved; the shared number alone does not identify which business a caller contacted.
Opting out
Reply STOP to stop texts. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT and END work the same way. Because the sender is shared, opting out stops messages from that number across businesses and programs. Reply START to lift that number-level block; a separate program still needs valid consent and activation. Owners can also switch off SMS in their portal; enabling it again there requires renewed consent. Reply HELP for DispatchLine support details, or email support@getdispatchline.com.
Cost and delivery
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Acceptance for sending is not proof of delivery. SMS alerts are not an emergency response or life-safety service; do not rely on them alone for urgent dispatch.
Privacy
We record owner consent, notification destination preferences and delivery status to operate this service. Read the Privacy Policy. Questions: support@getdispatchline.com.
