Call Recording Notice
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Businesses that use DispatchLine may record calls so they can review what was discussed and confirm appointment details. This page explains how recording works and your choices.
If you called a business that uses DispatchLine
- Calls may be recorded and transcribed. When a business records its calls, the greeting on every call says so; continuing the call is consent.
- If you do not want to be recorded, end the call and contact the business another way. Recording cannot be switched off partway through a call.
- Recordings are stored privately and are available only to the business you called and its authorized staff.
- To ask about or request deletion of a recording, contact the business you called. We will assist them.
If you are a business using DispatchLine
- You are responsible for complying with recording laws in your state and your callers’ states. Our state guide summarizes them but is not legal advice.
- The agent announces recording at the start of every call, and the announcement cannot be turned off by itself. If you do not want the announcement, turn recording off in the portal: the agent then stops recording and stops announcing together.
- Recordings are retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of closure unless you export them.
